Rufus, sometimes with "the red" added

Fuchsia 'Rufus' was introduced from America in 1951. Sometimes know as 'Rufus the Red', this flower is pure red. Another RHS AGM winner, we have one of ours next to a path hanging over a Buxus hedge where people always stop to admire it! A very popular boy indeed!

Soil: Almost any soil, grows well
Flowers: July, August, September, October
Other features: Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (RHS AGM)
Hardiness: Fully hardy
Habit: Clump forming, bushy
Foliage: Deciduous
Height: 60 - 90 cm (2 - 3 ft)
Spread: 60 - 90 cm (2 - 3 ft)
Time to full growth: 2 to 5 years
Plant type: Herbaceous Perennial
Colour: Green, red
Goes well with: Everything!
