Carex Evergold

Common Name: Japanese Sedge
Latin Name: Carex oshimensis 'Evergold'
Soil: Fertile moist, well drained soil
Position: Full sun or partial shade
Hardiness: Hardy
Eventual height/spread: 0.5m/0.45m
Special features: Bright creamy yellow, centre striped leaves. (Evergreen)

Carex oshimensis 'Evergold' is a lovely little evergreen variegated sedge from Japan, distinguished by its bright creamy yellow centre striped leaves. Its lush, arching foliage sways gently with a breeze and brings movement to the lower levels of your garden. Even with green margined leaves, this plant appears golden yellow in the garden. Carex 'Evergold' looks very attractive when used as a ground cover plant or when grown in containers.

Propagate by seed, sown in containers in a cold frame in spring or by division in early summer
